About me

When human beings experience trauma or severe life stressors, it is not uncommon for their lives to unravel. Growing up in the heart of East Oakland my life was filled with trials and tribulation. Which is why my passion is bringing healing to people who have been through similar traumatic/stressful experiences. I assist clients and families find healthy perceptions of themselves and strengthen their relationships so they can know themselves as peaceful, complete, safe and whole..

Encouraging Hope

Since 2015, Naomi have been providing counseling services to children, adolescents, and adults, by way of individual, family, and group therapy. Naomi has gained various critical work experiences, while maintaining a successful private practice. Naomi has worked as a Behavioral Health Clinician for Alameda County, where she provided a variety of therapy, case management, and crisis interventions, as well as serving as a liaison to other community agencies. Naomi has also worked for Lincoln Families, providing direct clinical services and after-care to children, as well as clinical supervision to ABA Therapists. At Lincoln Families, Naomi facilitated parent trainings and supported parents to utilize intervention and coping skills in the home setting. She has also worked at Willow Rock Center Adolescent Psychiatry Health Facility, helping adolescents and young children develop problem solving skills, and improve their emotional or physical well-being. At Willow Rock, Naomi focused on helping youth with substance abuse and behavioral problems. Naomi started her career as a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee at Second Chance Inc., providing family-oriented services to treat mental, emotional, behavioral, and interpersonal disorders.  At Second Chance Inc., Naomi facilitated education about addiction and helped clients understand the contributing factors that lead to the abuse of alcohol, drugs, also develop treatment plans, and help clients establish a healthy support system. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Relational Therapy, Motivational Interviewing Technique, Multi-dimensional Family Therapy, Mindfulness, Trauma Informed, and always come from a strength-based approach, and is currently training to become EMDR Certified. Naomi’s special area of interest include working with individuals whom experience anxiety disorders, symptoms of depression, working through harm-reduction and recovery, special needs disorders and behavioral management, PTSD, trauma, sexuality (LGBTQ+), as well as improving family systems by inspiring HOPE.
